MDHHS issued a new Gathering Prohibition and Face Covering Public Health Emergency Order based on the Michigan Public Health Act, retaining gathering restrictions on certain businesses, effective April 19 – May 24, 2021. The Order extends mask mandates to children aged 2+, workplace safety rules, and capacity restrictions. Click the above image for the most recent update.
On April 13, MIOSHA extended their Emergency Rules for general and industry specific businesses with a new expiration date of October 14, 2021. On October 13, the Michigan Legislature passed bills providing for liability protections for businesses relating to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and legislation codifying the governor’s previous executive orders on unemployment benefits and worker safety.
