UPDATED January 22, 2021. On January 22, MDHHS issued a new Gathering Prohibition and Face Covering Public Health Emergency Order based on the Michigan Public Health Act, lifting the ban on indoor dining as of February 1, 2021. The Order continues mask mandates, workplace safety rules, and attendance restrictions. On October 13, the Michigan Legislature passed bills providing for liability protections for businesses relating to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and legislation codifying the governor’s previous executive orders on unemployment benefits and worker safety. On October 14, MIOSHA issued rules reinstating regulations for general and industry specific businesses. Click the above image for the most recent update.
