  • Things to do Downriver tomorrow, Oct. 3
    • The 13th annual Scarecrow Festival is set for Oct. 3 to 5 along West Jefferson Avenue from Maple to Elm in Trenton. The festival will feature a carnival, arts and crafts and music. The Scarecrow Idol singing competition and Oktoberfest at Roundhouse BBQ, 2760 West Jefferson Ave., take place Friday night. Oktoberfest’s craft beer tasting will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Advance tickets are $15 or $20 at the door. Saturday and Sunday feature arts and crafts, entertainment and contests. Groups, children and adults are welcome to build a scarecrow to display on Scarecrow Row located next to the band stage. Festival-goers vote for their favorite entries for $1. The festival runs from 6 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10:30
