To the Editor: I am writing to endorse Magistrate Warren Waterman for the 23rd District Court judge in Taylor. I have known Waterman since we were classmates together 50 years ago at Taylor Center Elementary School. Even back then, Waterman stood out as a very bright individual who always did the right thing. As an adult, Waterman has proven himself to be worthy of judge of the 23rd District Court. He has been an attorney for 29 years, he serves on the Taylor Schools Foundation for Educational Excellence and has been in the judge's seat for the last seven years as magistrate of the 23rd District Court. He also has served on the fire and police civil service board and numerous other board positions in the areas of planning, finance and zoning. As the current magistrate, Waterman works very hard to see that our community is safe for everyone. Waterman was raised in Taylor and he has chosen to stay here during his lifetime and give back to his hometown. He truly is a man who wants Taylor to be a shining example of a city and he’ll do his part as judge and as a man who has the highest level of integrity to help make this happen.
